इस सर्वे में लिए गए 15 सैंपल्स में 11 में लेड तय सीमा से ज्यादा पाया गया और 6 में तो ये कई हजार गुना तक ज्यादा पाया गया. इनमें कई जाने-माने और कुछ छोटे ब्रांड भी शामिल हैं. नियम के मुताबिक लेड 90 पीपीएम से ज्यादा नहीं होना चाहिए लेकिन कुछ सैंपल मे ये 40 से 50 हजार पीपीएम तक था.
लेड की ज्यादा मात्रा खास तौर पर गर्भवती महिलाओं और बच्चों के लिए काफी खतरनाक है. इससे बच्चों के सोचने समझने की क्षमता प्रभावित होती है और उनका पढ़ाई में मन नहीं लगता.
